Assumptions

The calculator treats the sidewalk as one flat rectangle. A 50 ft by 4 ft walk that is 4 inches thick is 50 × 4 × (4 ÷ 12) = 66.67 cubic feet, which is 2.47 cubic yards. A bend or a landing is a second rectangle. Add those pieces on the slab calculator.

Cities often publish a minimum width and thickness where a walk meets the street. Those numbers can be thicker than a backyard path. This page does not review that rule. It only multiplies the dimensions you enter.
