Walk the pad

• I re-measured length and width with a tape, not from memory.
• The thickness I used in the calculator matches the forms I can still see.
• I looked up the local minimum for this walk, drive, or approach, if one exists.
• The subgrade is stripped, compacted, and free of holes that will swallow yards.
• I know which way water is supposed to leave, and the high side is toward the house if that is the rule here.
• The ground is not frozen and is not holding puddles.
• A truck chute or a bag path can actually reach the forms.
• I decided a waste percent, or I accepted the 10% extra on the ticket.
• If this is bags, I counted trips and a place to stage them that stays dry.
• If this is a truck, I wrote the planning yards and the access notes before I call.
